Facts About the Way Public Library
In 1875 Mr. Willard V. Way, a remarkable resident of Perrysburg, departed leaving an ample amount of properties community. Between the goals that were established was the creation of a library financed with part of the money that he gave. Originally in 1881 the Way Library was located in the living room of Miss Harriet Hulburd, the first librarian existent in Perrysburg. In 1959, 1983 and 2001respectively, the place was upgrade reaching 45,855-square-foot of construction. The last renovation of 2001 resulted in that the designers, Munger Munger + Associates Architects, Inc got the 2001 AIA Toledo Architectural Award. The library is recognized for the presence of more than 120,000 items.
